Taking CD before PD, IMHO, may help,
Knowing the AIA docs for PD is helpful.
Best study materials? . . . I don't think they exist, and personnally feel more real world experience hurts . . .
I used:
Old ALS books . .
2006 Kaplan, book, CD, questions & answers
2008 Archiflash
NCARB download
The FTP site
AIA Docs . . .
First time I bombed it, second time I knew of this forum and took advantage of it!

Thanks ShudBDrwg for sharing your thoughts....
What is IMHO?
Do you mean using the 4 NCARB Content areas to plan
a study strategy will be good? I use to just read the Kaplan
and AIA A101, A201 & B141 and do all the quizzes and final exams
on the kaplan books and CD. Like in MES, I ignored the advised to
read the MEEB book and that cost me, I donot want to do that for
CD/PD.
Thanks again ShudBDrwg

IMHO = In my honest opinion . . .
Definitely review / read the information provided in the FTP site.
Well the download info from NCARB provide a sampling of good test questions.
The first time I took the test I felt Kaplan did not help at all, but the second time around the books and quizzes seemed helpful.
On the CD I advise only using it to run a mock exam. If you take the quizzes on the Cd, they use the same questions on the exam . . . so won't give you a "fair" practice test.
The Archiflash flash cards covered some other info.
