My husband figured out he passed his last exam by logging onto the Ohio Arch. license website and did a search for himself.  His name popped up on the screen with a new license number.  Maybe MO. has a similar website.

Worth a shot....;)

They have that feature in MO, but as of 5 minutes ago, sixofnine showed 0 records found!  Hoping that's not a bad sign...perhaps there is something else I will need to do, after receiving these two last pass letters (trying to think positively)!

Well, nothing today...I will try not to bounce off to many walls tomorrow waiting for my results!

Ah.  After a little bit of research, it seems as if the MO board has to convene to vote on allowing batches of applicants in Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Engineering to become licensed professionals.

Note the 2nd page on this PDF document... http://www.sos.mo.gov/adrules/csr/current/20csr/20c2030-1.pdf

"(2) The board shall meet at times necessary to adequately perform its statutory obligations. Notices of meetings will be posted in compliance with Chapter 610, RSMo.

(3) The board meetings will normally consist of reviewing applications, interviewing applicants, reviewing complaints and overseeing the proper conduct and management of its affairs."

Here's a link to the State calendar:
http://www.oa.mo.gov/co/oanews/

There doesn't seem to be any meetings concerning Architecture this week.  Even if you passed and paid all your fees, you's still have to wait till they convene.  Sit tight.

Edit:  Oh, and one other thing... this link is to minutes of previous meetings held by Missouri Board for Architects, Their office Memos, etc... Don't you just LOVE the freedom of information act?

I think I am different, as I am grandfathered, I already applied for licensure and was approved, pending passage of all divisions of the ARE, which brings me to:

BIG HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT:

As requested, my wife did not call me, but just showed up in the office, with a letter from the MO State Board.  They took the opportunity to congratulate me upon having taken and passed all divisions of the ARE.  Official notice of my registration and architect license will be mailed to me as soon as possible!

What a relief!  The finish the last third plan worked to perfection!

Thanks, first to God for blessing me!  Thanks to the forum, which I found after taking the first 6 (thus the name "sixofnine"), for all the references, support and encouragement!

Congrats, 9/9! I received the same letter from the MO Board. In about a month (hopefully) you'll get another letter with your license number (A-00####), a small 5 x 7 certificate, and a wallet size card. Also authority to purchase your seal I went to look at embossers and stamps yesterday). The MO Board will also order and send to you a wall certificate, suitable for hanging (11" x 14"). Celebrate and enjoy your accomplishment!

TJack,

Thanks for the info, answers a few questions for me.  Nice shot of the Old Courthouse on your Avatar!

I am guessing that under the new process, those who finish the ARE must then fill out their License App, and then wait for final approval before receiving the documents that you list.

I'm not sure. I was 'grandfathered' in like you were. I filled out my app before being approved to sit for the ARE. After passing the last exam I received a letter similar to the one you just received. A about a month later I received a packet of information with license number, etc. But I've seen other post that mention a different process.

BTW Check out MO Board's website at: http://pr.mo.gov/licensee-search.asp

to see your name listed, by County and Profession.

My name didn't show up on the website until I had received my packet (license number) in the mail.

Congrats!

Round here, DC shows scuppered on their web lookup as of today, they met last Friday.

Luckily they show a license number,  so I can order paraphernalia if I so desire.

Are pretty Missouri certificates also an additional fee?
$30 for something that doesn't look like it came from the DMV/IRS for us.

No, and actually the wall certificate is quite nice. It is 14" x 11" (portrait). The board made a mistake printing my first wall certificate. I mailed it back and they sent me a new one - no charge. I thought that was really nice.

Well, I got my first packet today, with the miniature certificate and wallet size card.  I now have my license number, but they have changed to putting your year in front, so it is 12 characters long...hope it still reads after I stamp it.

The format is now: A-2007######.  Quite a lengthy number!!!

So, only about 2 months after my last test, and one month after my last pass letter, not too bad.  Sending a copy off to the local AIA office tomorrow to get those credentials set up, and then on to the NCARB website so I can move my record over to the NCARB certified pile.

For those that have done the IDP, then ARE & State License route, what's the time frame on then applying for and getting your NCARB certificate?

Thanks again to all for continued support.  My advice for those who are still taking it: just keep picking it up and setting it down, eventually you get through all nine, but you have to keep moving!  Don't Stop!

Out, 6/9

I still don't have my AIA number,  I applied 4 weeks ago,  need to call them.  Certification has been tricky,  I didn't spend enough time searching old posts for the timeframe...
after about 3 weeks, I found out I needed to pay my state $30 and request my registration be re-sent (in a more official way? wtf) to NCARB even though they had been "made aware of it"

the funny part is,  it didn't even strike me as strange any more.

Who is this guy that did all (9) tests in two weeks?  Was he a member of this forum?

That I do not know, but I read it, I believe in an NCARB newsletter, stating that was the record.  Not unheard of, as it used to be that everyone took all the tests in 4-5 days, or only 1 week.
