I have searched this forum and Prometric website....
I cancelled a test scheduled for next week, within alloted 3 business days prior...what happens to my fee? Do I pay $35 and reschedule? Any help is appreciated.

From an old (2006) Authorization to to test form letter sent to me from Prometrics:
Last paragraph: " If you do not show up or fail to reschedule your ARE appointment by 12 noon EST of the third business day prior to your scheduled appointment. you will forfeit your testing fee and will be required to pay another testing fee in order to test. If the valid period for the division has expired, you must contact your board of architecture. Upon approval from the board of architecture a new Authorization to test will be sent to you."
Procedures may have changed. Contact your local Prometric test center for details.

| If you did in fact cancel on time then yes, you just pay $35 and reschedule. I did this at least three times while I was testing, and the worst that happened is that once it took some phone time with ARE Operations (which is really part of Prometric) as there was some "resetting" and "reauthorizing" involved. Thanks for the responses. I have cancelled a week prior to the exam so should be well within the deadline

turns out if you "cancel" rather than "reschedule" then you forfeit your entire fee, but I am finding nowhere in the guidelines that states this...I have been arguing with the c***suckers at NCARB and Prometric for a few days...complete BS

Did you get an Authorization to Test letter for this exam?

Yes, this is very true. When you "cancel" your payment will be forfeited so its better to just reschedule. I remember I read a guideline regarding this matter when I cancelled before at the prometric website.
