Hello. I am new to the forum. I have study materials from the Essentials of Professional Accreditation Online Training. They are in pdf format and from either the USGBC or Turner Construction. Are they ok to share or considered copyrighted materials? I will gladly send a sampling for your review prior to posting.

I would imagine that if you have to ask, it's probably not ok to post.  There are other ways to distribute that aren't so public, right? ;)

Since "Essentials of Professional Accreditation" is a copyrighted course, for which USGBC charges $200, I'm sure that this is copyrighted material and that you must have clicked some sort of agreement when you signed up for the course to the effect that you would not distribute copyrighted materials...

I think you are probably right. I probably did click-off on an agreement.

Tomorrow,

When in doubt, don't share.

Thanks!

Above is a simple request for asistance in breaking copywright law. Other groups have a simpe and effective rule that you are allowed to share on line anything that you yourself own the copywright to. That would mean things you have written, not things you bought a copy of. Another less obvious facet of this is that once licensed, the same body of law protects the use of your work.

i remember some questions from the LEED exam i gave recently. Is it permissble to put those questions online and share or would that be considered a violation of copyright laws.

You should familiarize yourself with the terms of fair use as applies to copyright. To extract some minor part of someone's as a comment is one thing, to simply publish large blocks of others work is something else.  Similarly if you planned to publish test questions that you received in the formal LEED examination you'd need to wrestel with your conscience regarding the agreement you signed not to reveal those questions.

Hello every one,

I am a new member and registered for LEED Exam, I am so worried that I do not know where to start. The price of the refrence is expensive . If any one have the second hand book of NC.1 Please let me know as soon as possible.

With Gratitude,

hmm, these posts are very suspicious - can we delete them?  I have a feeling this is some sort of spam/scam...

If you would like to purchase a legal copy of the LEED Professional Accreditation Study Guide and Practice Exam - LEED-NC version 2.2 Edition with EB & CI Quiz Questions from the USGBC CO Chapter, the correct link to their Study Guide page is as follows :

http://www.usgbc***.com/resources/leed-studyguide.html

Note: Be sure to replace the three asterisks with "c o l o r a d o" -- no spaces, as the ARE forum site seems to have a problem displaying the name of that particular U.S. state)

When taking the test you signed an agreement that says no material can be shared including but not limited to sharing through memorization. I wouldn't chance it your AP status can be revoked.
