Like Coach, I was wondering if anyone heard anything? Do we know if we're moving to a written exam?

I heard from a CAB panelist that the CSE is not changing to a written exam.

| Apparently the Board had some concerns about the time limit element of the proposed exam change and requested that the vendor provide additional information.

| It's only a technicality though. If they are serious it'll happen.

The agenda item H.3 from last June's CAB meeting to "Administer Examination Questions to Candidates in Printed Format" is referring to giving out the questions in writing as they are presented (not converting the whole test from oral to written). This is to help avoid time delays due to repeating the questions over and over. The second item "with an Established Time Limit" has been discussed, but may or may not actually be implemented. There are some concerns that a time limit would create undue pressure on candidates, as well as risks associated with potential protests over faulty timers, etc.

| That would help - a pencil to organize thoughts may be an interesting concept too. Why is it that architecture takes baby steps when even the Landscape Architectural exam is more efficient?
