I am submitting my EESA application. and I have copies of my Transcripts that i am planning to send along with other required paper work.
My question is were your Transcripts mailed to EESA directly from your University in India attested and signed Officially?? OR Were your transcripts attested by your HOD or principal?
Can I certify my Transcripts from a Notary and send them to EESA.
Can anybody give me some info on what procedure was followed.
I know that EESA mentions in their Required Documents " Official Transcripts"
But my problem is that my college is no longer affliated to the university it was affliated to when i graduated. So getting Official Transcripts is some what of a problem and asking my college to send my Official Transcripts will take another 6 months.
Can somebody advice.

do you have atleast one original transcript? If so, then notarize here. They are not so picky (I guess, about having the transcript attested by HOD or someone from the college (hopefully) should work.
They will also require detailed curriculum of the entire program from your college. Get those copies asap to avoid waiting on later.

Don't worry....as long you have the trancripts in the format they have asked for and are attested that should do it....it worked for me. Good Luck!

Here's what I did when I submitted mine to EESA:
- transcripts and course descriptors were countersigned by an official of the university
- I got the university to seal it in an envelope and sign/seal the flap
- I received that from the university (with a second loose copy, so I knew what was in the envelope)
- submitted the sealed envelope to EESA, along with my application and other supporting documentation
I recall reading somewhere that the procedure I followed was required. I assume that's why I did it that way. Or maybe I was just being paranoid. In any event, it worked, and they accepted the application no problem.

Hi there,
There is an application procedure online in ESSA, requires you entered all the courses you took. Does anybody use that or simply send your document to ESSA by yourself??
Thanks,

The EESA application is entirely online (with the exception of the stuff you have to send them)
You can set up an account, and straight away can start entering course information. You're free to edit and adjust that as many times as you want (you can save any changes before logging out), but once you submit your application online, you cannot make any more changes.
You can also preview your application data, which helps to make sure you haven't missed anything.
I don't know if you've started an account yet, but it would definitely be worthwhile to do, and start having a poke around the application process.
So to attempt to answer your question, yes, you do it all online, but you also have to mail in information to substantiate what you have submitted via the website.Last edited on Wed Apr 30th, 2008 01:50 am by incinerator

I would input every course that you wish EESA to evaluate your education on.
The school transcript will merely confirm that the course was taken, and the grade received.

I am in proccess of filling the eesa application online and have following queries.
1) Grade for subject
My university had marks for a particular paper/examination
How do I convert it to Grade?
2) I have my syllabus from India. It is split into
Subject - for example Structures
No of lecture per year - for example 64 for first year
each lecture being 50 minutes.
EESA aplication talks about
hours / week for each subject
total no of weeks.
How do I convert?
How do I know how many weeks makes one academic year?
Any help appreciated!
