I am getting ready to submit another set of IDP hours from this summer before I return to school. However I have 2 issues. The first is the community Service, they leave it very vauge, does it need to be architecture related? Or simply community service? I ask because I have spent many hours helping instruct a high school drumline. Additionally, in looking over my report from last summer, I appear to have missed reporting 10 units somehow. Does any one know is there any way to amend my report from last year? I have tried contacting NCARB numerous times, but they fail to reply.
Thanks

It doesn't need to be architecture-related.
But it does need to have been done while you were employed in an acceptable training setting, so that somebody can sign off on it (in other words you're supposed to tell your supervisor about your community service and he's supposed to sign off on it.)
There's no easy way to amend an existing report. You can try submitting the 10 units on a new form. If that doesn't work you're going to have to keep calling/emailing NCARB. Make sure to get the name of the person handling your record, and keep a written record of your communications with NCARB.

| turns out it is rather easy to amend. I emailed them explaining my issue, and they said just to submit another form. Easy as that, done.

I had a similar situation and submitted a form with about 20 units on it from one time sheet I'd neglected to count originally. NCARB sent the form back to me 3 months later with a letter that said it didn't meet the minimum duration rules. It seems they didn't bother to read my attached letter that said it was an amendment to an employment situation I'd already submitted. It took a lot of phone time to get this straightened out and another two months to get confirmation that it was counted. I wish you better luck with smooth processing!
