Hello everyone. I have completed my IDP and have transmitted to the NY State board with preliminary approval from NCARB. Although my IDP hours fulfill the hourly requirements in each category, I find that the actual calender days do not add up to exactly three years (a few months short). Does anyone knows if this matters? Am I being too nit picky (there is actually nowhere on the NY form where the time is totaled)?

I plan to fill out the NY state form identical to the IDP and see what they say. I guess another option would be to add additional hours completed since then, but I am in a foreign office, and already maxed out the 235 units allowed for foreign work (for IDP).

Sorry if a similar question is posted, but I couldn't find a similar thread.

I found myself in a similar situation, only because i jumped the gun and sent in my NYS application 3 months before the 3 year mark. Once they had all my NCARB paperwork in, the NYS board wrote me a letter and asked me to fill out the employment verification form (form 4 I think) for the time i was short and send it in. About a week or two I got another letter saying I'm eligible to test. Two days later i got the prometric letter.

So, if you're short, they'll let you know.
