Just a thought...with todays economy I'm sure  many people out there including architects dream of winning the lottery.

If I will be soooo lucky to have 50 million, I still want to be an Architect, open my own firm, hire a good attorney, accountant, project manager and reliable staffs.

Then I will travel with my very reliable laptop and get inspiration for my new design. E-mail it to my designer so when I get back to the office we can start refining it.

Then spend a day with my kids without the  need of calling in sick or making up excuses and white lies.

I think I'm dreaming big time! Sorry I need to get back to studying...so my dream would become reality...

I have to share one of the most sincere answers to this question I have ever heard...............

My daycare lady from this summer, we called her grandma (she isn't even 60 yet) and the kids just loved her!  She use to be a social worker in her former life before opening a daycare in her very modest home over 14 years ago.  We were kidding about "what if I won the lottery" and what we would do.  I responded with similar things like owning my own firm, paying off all the bills, getting a bigger house, etc.  Grandma, with her cute rosie cheeks and perfect smile said, she wanted to build a shelter for the homeless in the Matsu Valley here (there are no such services here) and provide all the required services for it such as food, education, health care clinics, etc.  She said she would be sure to reinvest the rest to provide for those people for a long time to come.  The twinkle in her eye told me she meant every word of it from the very bottom of her wonderful heart and soul.

Wow, that is a hard on to follow.  Truely selfless and caring.

I would definately have to travel a little, pay the bills, send my kids to college and stay in my modest house.  But after a little of that, get back to work and see if I could help Grandma follow her dream.  She will be needing a free architect, and some help getting all that going.:D

Thanks Grandma for the wake up call.  God Bless you:D

Sometimes great intentions prove to be disasterous, especially when trying to help out that many people for free.

There used to be a old joke that floated around:

What would an architect do if he won a (50) million dollars?
