Below are the details on my seminar.

Date/Time:
Saturday, August 9 and Saturday, August 23
9 AM to 4 PM

Location:
Country Inn & Suites
23627 Calabasas Road
Calabasas

Cost:
$500 for both days

Due to the limited number of spaces available, you must sign up for both days.  If you would only like to attend one day, I can put you on a waiting list in the event that the seminar does not fill up.  In order to attend the seminar, please complete the attached PDF and send payment.  I currently have 5 people signed up for this seminar for the September exam, so I urge you to send in your information as soon as possible.  The San Diego AIA will also be hosting my seminar in August/September, with dates to be published later this week.  Thank you.

I highly, highly recommend taking Dean's seminar! (and no, i'm not getting paid to say this).  I got my passing letter on Friday!  It was my first time taking it.  It's a HUGE weight off of my shoulders.  When I showed up at Deans seminar, I was hoping it was worth the money and long drive to attend but it was key in my ability to focus on what was really important.  I got off to a really late start in my preparations.   I thought i was going to just read and memorize as much as I could but that approach alone would have surely led to a failing score.  I met some good people in the seminar as well and being able to practice mock questions together was awesome.

If you are serious about passing the CSE, Dean Lee's seminar is a must. I went to another seminar that focused solely on possible content. While the content was relevant, Dean's seminar will focus you on the most important content and how to effectively communicate it during your exam. In addition to his content and strategies, his mock exam will give you the closest experience to taking the exam if it is your first time. If you have taken it before, the light bulb will come on.

Dean's enthusiasm and passion for helping you pass, also makes the seminar a lot more enjoyable and gives you the confidence to succeed.

So instead of spending your time whining on this message board how the CSE should be abolished and is unfair. Step up, do the seminar, and get on with your life.

Dean Lee's Seminar was - amazing! He prepares you for the format of questions and how to respond. I believe I passed on my first attempt largely because of Dean. Almost all of the two day seminar is spent rotating person to person practicing answering questions. Its a great simulation of the actual test arrangement. Its very important to study on your own, know the info, and then come prepared with your head full to practice. Dean helps you to be succinct with your answers. I highly highly recommend taking Dean's seminar - high as Mt. Everest! Thanks Dean!

Oh! He's also simply a great guy to chat with and very helpful in general, with email communications and support. All around awesome!

Currently I am not offering seminars in SF as there isn't enough people to offset the cost for me to travel, book a place and also stay up there.  I want to go up and host, but I would have to have 10 people or more attending.  If there are 10 people willing to sign up for the Nov. 2008 exam, please let me know.  Thanks.

Dean,

I have heard nothing but positive feedback from all those who have attended your seminars.  I am in NCAL and scheduled for the November exam, and I would be very interested in attending a seminar if you are able to host one up here.

Perhaps you could send an email invitation for a NCA seminar to all Nov. NCAL CSE examinees and see how many would be willing to sign up?  You can count me in!

I will have a website up and running in the next few weeks.  Once it's up and running, if there are 10 people or more who are willing to send in a deposit, I will set up a seminar up north.  Thank you all for your interest.

I'm sorry, but the San Diego seminars have been postponed by the AIA.  Please contact them directly to inquire about additional dates.  Thanks for your interest.

Dean,

Will you be providing other venues prior to the September test? If so, i would like to be part of one. If not, is there any other way to have you provide your seminar in the SD area.

Could you do something like what you are doing for the SF folks? I am sure that there are enough interested individuals down here. I am shocked that the SD AIA "postponed" your seminar.

If you do have enough people, meaning about 10, then I'm sure the AIA would help in facilitating a seminar down there.  Please contact them immediately and have any other people interested, contact them.

My contact with the SD AIA is Krista Berry and her email address is kberry(AT)aiasandiego.org

If the people of SD come together and convince the AIA, I will surely be there.

Dean,

No luck with Krista. Her polls indicate that there would not be enough interest here in SD. I frankly dispute her information since its based on a narrow field of possible applicants that she addresses, but that's irrelevant for my purposes....

If there is any chance of you conducting a seminar between now and late September in S. Cal or in the SF area, please let me know and hold a place for me. I will definitely attend. Please use my email address: nixl(AT)earthlink.net.

I would very much appreciate the opportunity to attend your seminar.
Thanks

Thank you very much for inquiring with them.  I want to work with them, but they are having trouble advertising.  My website should be up soon, so it will have information about any upcoming seminars.  Thanks again for your interest.

thank you Dean,

For what it's worth, I had no idea who Krista is and that the local AIA was involved with you. I have attended another seminar they have done here for the orals, yet no word on this one! it feels more like a closely held secret! :)

How will I know when to visit your website? Might you let me know?

thanks

They said that they advertised my seminar on their website for the May 2008 exam and we only had 7 people unfortunately, well below their expectations, so they postponed the seminar.  My website is almost finished and I will be posting it on this forum.  Thanks for your interest.
