AIA Austinwill be hosting 3 top-notch seminars for the ARE:

Construction Documents with Keith Shuley             Sept. 20th
Structures with David Thaddeus                                Oct. 10, 11 and 12th
MEP Systems with Mike Green                                   Nov. 8th

Attached is a registration form for the 1st seminar - CDs. All three seminars will be invaluable for people taking either the 3.1 or 4.0 versions of the ARE.  Please help get the word out!!!

No, these seminars are not free, but we are doing our best to keep the fees down. Fees haven't been determined yet for the Thaddeus seminar, but they will probably be in the $300+ range for three full days of the best structures prep you can get.  The more people that sign up early, the lower the fees will be, so PLEASE urge your friends, co-workers, and distant relatives, to call AIA Austin (512.452.4332) and sign up!!!

Thanks!

How valuable is this seminar to passing General Structures and Lateral Forces divisions of the ARE?

Anytime you have the chance to take a Thaddeus seminar, jump on it.  I have heard rave reviews... and he was a professior of mine in college.  People I know say if you fail after taking a Thaddeus seminar something is insanely wrong with you.  =)

AIA Austin is pleased to announce our third ARE Seminar Mech, Elec, and Plumbing Systems on November 8th, at the UT School of Architecture.  Our guest speaker for this event is O. Michael Green.  Mr. Green has performed electrical and mechanical engineering on commercial, industrial and institutional building projects since 1976. He was founder of O. Michael Green Engineering, Inc. and later Green Anderson Engineers, Inc.  He has also taught MEP systems as an assistant professor at the School of Architecture at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and now semi-retired, is a sole practitioner focusing on teaching and consulting in engineering.  This will be a very intense, 8-hour seminar, so we will be providing breakfast with plenty of coffee to get everyone started, and an additional snack break during the afternoon session.  Also, each participant will receive a bound copy of all handouts (approximately 125 pages).  Please use the attached registration form to sign up, and please forward to your friends and colleagues!
