I took the test yesterday. I have to agree completely with the previous post. I left the test feeling really bad, I didn't have time to do all of the calculations. First I went the through the test doing all the questions except calculations, unless it looked like one that I could do quickly. By the time I was going back through to do the calculations, I really didn't have time to get through the steps, on some I just completely guessed, which I haven't had to do on any other test. I will be surprised if I pass. I do think that the questions in the exam were very similar in format with the questions in the "Questions and Answers". I did go through all of them once, but I was getting maybe 65 - 70 % . . .
As far as content, it was as the previous post (tigertiger) said. Know the different steel and concrete structural systems. There were a few questions that had an economical component to them. Good luck.

Well I said I would be surprised if I passed . . . and then I kept reading emails by people like myself that took, it seems, the same test and felt really discouraged afterwards and then passed and I started to have hope . . .
I passed too! and I am so happy and surprised. good luck to those of you that are studying for this one, it feels great to receive the pass letter.

| I want to add that when I was studying, doing the "questions and answers" I felt that I was getting alot of them wrong, that they were hard. When I took the exam I felt overwhelmed, I knew there were several of the calculations that I couldn't do and others that I didn't have time to do and just guessed . . . and I passed. So if you are feeling overwhelmed just do your best because if you have a positive outlook you will get it!

When you say "questions and answers" in your first post, you're referring to the separate Kaplan booklet, right?

Congratulations Mke!!! Hope you can kick back and enjoy that PASS!! You earned it!!! Just took LF today, and hope to take the graphics exams Nov + Dec... This really is an UPHILL BATTLE... But its good to have company!!
