Have you ever worked on project that makes use of a metal building for storage or maintenance? The column-beam system used in these types on systems is usually a bent.

BENT – A substructure unit supporting each end of a bridge span; also called a pier; made up of two or more columns or column-like members connected at their top most ends by a cap, strut, or other member holding them in their correct positions.

Take care - just because it was a non-issue on one person's exam does not mean it won't be on the next person's test. Some people have lots of calcs, some have few (of course, some consider 10 few and others lots - go figure ).
