Hi,
I am preparing for GS. I am wondering how complex the problems get on the actual test? Are there just few basic formulas to remember? Is there room for filtering some of these problems out?
Thanks! I am just on the wood chapter and going crazy.

well I took it a year ago, as you can see to the left, I did not pass it. I worked on trying to know about 20 formulas. I felt like I knew most of the formulas, but they would always twist them to where I would have to solve two or three to get the one I needed. I knew the specific formulas, but not when to apply them.
There was approx 25 calcs on the test if I remember right. I remember they were all over the place. From simple reactions to cord forces in a truss.
