Lookout when referring to Graphic Standards (11th Ed.) for pre-stressing and post-tensioning of concrete structural members. At the very beginning of the section, it reads (paraphrasing here since I don't have it in front of me): "Concrete is inherently weak in compression and strong in tension." First sentence. I know it's probably a typo, and easy to spot as incorrect, but I had to check it twice, thinking all my training up to this point was backwards. It just goes to show you that you can't always believe everything you read...even in "reference" manuals.
