| 2-3 wks, I took ME oct 4 got my results back in about 2 weeks , took PD oct 31, and I am still waiting. I think it sometimes depend on yoour board, I'm in the ny area too

Yeah, the rest of the MC sections took just under 2 weeks but that was before 4.0. Just wondered if that slowed down the 3.1 results at all. BP/BT/SP all took 4 weeks.
Just anticipating the doom of my GS letter... it will be here soon enough.

Nice to have the company, sharc! I felt so horrible when I walked out of that exam. Thought I had a decent handle on the stuff, but wow... This was so much worse than ME! I'm trying not to think too much about it 'cause I'm down to my last two on 12/2 and 12/15. When did you take LF? That's next for me.

That's good to know. I am finding the material a bit more manageable. More focused and somehow the concepts are clearer. When all of this is over, I will bake my mailman some cookies - I'm sure he wonders why I look at him with the eyes of doom!

That's one thing I miss a lot about living in the city - I used to read so much more! Now that my car is my second home, I don't get to do that so much. Enjoy it! You can always start on LEED next week... what else were you going to do on Thanksgiving besides study? Isn't that what holidays are for?

I'm soooo looking forward to studying over my holiday weekend!
BTW, the results are running slightly longer, at least for me. GS took around 4 weeks but I saw that someone posted in PD that it only took 2 weeks. Who knows.

I spoke with my state board this week. They said that there had been a hold in results being sent to them from the testing agency earlier this month for some kind of quality control. I sounds like they are checking the 4.0 tests, but they also held up 3.1. I usually get my results in 3 weeks, but took ME a week before Halloween and am still waiting.
Also, she mentioned there will probably be another one of these quality control deals in a couple of weeks. It is stressful when you are waiting for your last couple of results to come in, and then they are held up for QC (now I know how my owners feel). Uhhh.
As to studying over thanksgiving...being the genius that I am, I scheduled both LF and GS the week after. So, this should be a fun holiday break as I try and absorb as much of this info as possible. Not sure who is more excited for me to finish, me or my wife. lol.

I'm with you, Aaron. I take LF on 12/2, then PD on 12/15 (2 days before my 50th, just to add to the pain). Some day, holidays will actually mean that - a day off, instead of an extra day to catch up on work or studying...
I think there should be a new thread on this forum, just for spouses/partners/parents of those taking the ARE. Boy, would my husband have a few stories to tell! It would certainly give them someplace to kvetch with others in similar agony.

Thanks, Mr. B. I just hope you are right. Didn't get that letter yesterday... MC results usually took 2 weeks to get, so maybe tomorrow.
I'm okay with the lip, but studying for these has put me in a permanent hunch!

jdl, I'm in the same boat as you. I took it on Nov 3rd, and am still waiting.......impatiently that is.
I've got LF after Thanksgiving (yeah, I know, don't eat too much turkey). Really want to see that PASS before sitting for that one.....fingers crossed that LF will be my last
long story, I'm in DC, but getting licensed in NY. I'll figure out transferring after the fact.

| Be patient. I know it's not easy. I took SP on 10/2, NCARB sent the results to NYS on 11/12. NYS sent the letter on 11/18. I received it on 11/21. You should have your results in within the next few days depending on your location. I've also noticed that NYS has mailed every letter to me on a Tuesday. (if that helps) I'm still waiting for NYS to update their website this month. They're a bit behind because of an NCARB hold up of results last month. Good Luck

It has only been 12 days for me, but I still don't know what to do with myself (apart from reading for fun, spending time with my wife and son and getting some decent sleep).
I have actually been somewhat compulsively checking the NY State online license verification in the off-chance that they somehow got my GS report from 11/11 and my LF report from 11/19 and I passed them both and they have already updated everything. That would really be something.

FWIW- Along with the FEMA document you are reading, I really found FEMA 172 helpful for LF. It has lots of images of details of seismic retrofits with descriptions of what the problems / inadequacies are and what the recommended retrofit choices are and which route is most cost effective. You really only have to read the text that goes with the pictures.

| Took GS and LF on 11/4. Still no results posted to Texas either (they do online reporting, no waiting for snail mail - just constant checking on line). I am also 9 mo. pregnant so with baby due 12/12 lots of anticipation... we'll see which arrives first!
