Has anyone taken the Fast Courses from Funkaar Studios? I'm just wondering how much you can learn in 4 hours and if it is worth my money. They are coming to Chicago and all classes the classes take place in one week, they say you can take all your exams in 5 days, but I am very forgetful and right before the holidays. PLEASE HELP!!! I JUST WANT TO BE DONE WITH MY EXAMS ALREADY.

Hey,
I just took the FAST course, but i only registered for 2 classes (CD & MM). I was skeptical of the success the site was claiming, so i wanted to try it out for myself (everyone here said it was a scam).
Dont worry, they will cover everything you need to know for the test and tell you what you need to read outside of the class. They keep the subject on the ARE and they dont get off topic.
I wish I would've taken the whole course but i'll wait until they come back here. To answer you question: YES the course will be well worth the money. trust me!

I DISAGREE!!!
Funkaar was a waste of time. it went really fast and very little time for questions. and when the time is up ..the class is over regardless of material that was NOT covered.
I would save ur money unless you need a quick refresher..otherwise its not very helpful.
Not sure if u can venture to NYC but I really liked the IDC courses, located in Bklyn, Ny and of course David Thadeus is awesome, best to contact him directly and he can tell u where his closest courses will be given--- he travels.
sorry Funkaar is not on my "helped me through this" list.

| well...my experience was not like ck1's. there was plenty of time for questions. the course was fast paced but then again i took the "fast" course. There was a ton of material to cover for each exam.

I took the course earlier this year. The class goes too fast to catch. After the class I took 3 exams, I failed every single one of them. Good luck.

I could not disagree more.
The course does move very fast but it is designed for you to understand the SPEED at which you need to execute the ARE. Its also is designed to show the best method for execution of each vignette. If you want the course to work for you you must be familiar with the software prior to taking the class...the pace of the classes helps you learn to execute the vignettes faster. Take copius notes while you are the class so when you go back to review you can get the method down.
I took the courses for all three graphic exams, twice. I had a delay in taking the graphic exams due to personal reasons so I took all three classes about 4 months later in April 2008.
I took all three graphic exams 10 days apart this past May and PASSED all 3. I would not have passed without these courses.

This is not supposed to be a place for debate... and Funkaar may be very good, but, Anyone who should pass will easily pass the graphic sections if they have some initiative and use this forum properly.

| This forum, as with courses, etc, are all just tools in passing the ARE. My point was that the Funkaar courses are EXTREMELY helpful and as important as any other tool in studying for the ARE.

| I took a couple and it is only a refresher. Other than that you hve to depend on the forum. You cannot depend on Funkar completely. I took PD course and I passed. Do I attribute my success to the class. NO. THe forum is much better.
