I gave PPP yesterday..cool but many pragmatic questions tickling your common sense...Twist in answers that seem so close to each other but its helpful to quickly visualize the situation and think about he answer--lot of time left to revise--so no need to panic about 6-8 history Qs, non on soil conditions, 8-10 rehab/adaptive reuse, rest on zoning, code, program and practice--vignette is easy....a bit twist from the practice vignette---a sort of mirror image problem but read carfully before u start and read till end...couple of setbacks are given in bottom 3-4 line of requirements in a descriptive form-----

I took it today. A LOT of questions on project delivery. know the pros and cons of design/build vs design/bid/build, etc. Very few history questions and they were easy. Very few planning questions but they were a little tricky. Nothing on soils, site work, etc. one or two questions on historical restoration. I would say most of the questions were on project delivery. Study the AHPP well, i wish i had.
The graphic portion was a piece of cake, if you have done the practice program, you'll have no problem with this one.

Having sat for this test this morning I would agree with the above posts. A few additional comments:
- study the broad range of topics that are listed in the resource section of NCARB's sample test for this. I do not feel that it is so much the actual knowledge but the 'application' of knowledge that they are after here. The questions ran the gamut from history to project delivery to AHPP to programming. Try to think about the situations addressed in the material from Kaplan/Ballaast/et al and the situations that are addressed in the sample questions. It is this more than rote memorization.
- Be careful during the graphic to read the requirements, especially the setbacks. During the exam I found a good way to fine tune the buildable area lines - using the Move/Adjust tool while zoomed in close. Try it during practice to get a feel for this. The only problem with zooming in too close is that the cursor jumps as if on an imaginary grid; not really smooth.
- Take time with the vignette; an hour is plenty to do this one. I would rather have gone slower form the beginning than to have spent 15 minutes towards the end fixing things. Slow and steady.
On to SPD. But first a few more beers.
Forgot- do a search for "Flat's How to Kick the ARE MC Questions in the Butt" pdf on the forum. It has some very valuable information on taking multiple choice questions and may alleviate some anxiety.
