Pbp,
I am also practicing this vignette. It looks pretty good to me. I have the same solution so far.
here is my issue. I can get the 30 degree line close to 30.1. However, I cannot match the building profile to match exactly with the sketch line. Please take a look at the zoom in sketch I attached.
Did you find that a problem? other than that, I think you and me have the correct solution.

zooming out will improve your aim
but you are well within the margin for this vignette

ASLA, I had the same problem. I also had a problem trying to match the building profile with the grade outline. But like hugon0 mentioned, it is within the margin.
Let's do the best we can.

Yes. I have that problem too. In that case, I extend the building profile line and go cross the grade line. Building should touch the grade.. logically.

It's not required, and therefore not recommended.

Brudgers, are you suggesting keeping the building profile above the grade?
If we are within the margin of error, does it really matter?

Question about the buildable area??
Can you simply sketch the building construction area over the surface improvement area or do you have to cut the area out?
Is there any other tips that maybe helpful for this vignette? Thanks

| I draw the improvement area first and then I draw the buildable area on top of the improvement area. I thought it does not matter? Can someone clarify?

Just got back from the exam and I would like to stress that - Read the program carefully. I had practiced the Ncarb graphic sample so many times that I automatically drew a line rising eastward. The benchmark point was on the east side of lot B and the line was suppose to go westward at a 60 degree angle.

My solution looks exactly like yours, pbp, so I'm not going to post again. Seems like there's a "correct" answer to this vignette, unlike SPD which can have multiple solutions.
I did have a question about the Side Yard setbacks (10'). We have the drainage easement which eliminates the need to address my question, but I was wondering if a side yard setback would also have to be between the two lots. I assume it does, but would like backup. Thanks!
