The test was very much like the other multiple choice exams. The study material gives you a good background of information, but don't expect to see very many questions that look like any questions you've seen from the practice exams. I'd say I had about 10 questions that I knew the answer to because I've seen the answer to that from Kaplan or Meeb. I had another 10 where I had absolutely no clue, so I just guessed. About 50% of the exam was using the concepts of the study material to come up with the answer. The other 30% were wtf questions that needed an educated guess.
I studied for 2 1/2 months for this exam, which was the longest for me of any of them, because this exam scared me the most. I stressed myself out over studying MEEB because I wasn't sure exactly how in depth I should have gone into it.
My advice is to understand the general concepts of all the information. Know how to use the different formulas. If you're going to use MEEB, don't try to read the whole thing, but just skim the table and graphics to support what you've learned from other sources.
Hopefully I'll be receiving a pass in the mail in a couple of weeks. Good luck to the rest of you.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I'll be taking the MEP exam this Monday morning, May 12th.....it will be my re-take from a year ago.
I'm doing the same thing you did - skimmed the MEEB book (not so much), used the Forum, FTP, ArchiFlash, and also I'm using the local AIA seminar study materials from the last 2 weeks.
My study time for this exam is about 3 weeks of prepping...
If any of you have local AIA seminar study courses for MEP, I highly recommend you to sign up for it. Its a plenthora of information, but the instructor can answer your questions and explain it in a clear way - a much better subsitution for the MEEB book.
Hope you get your PASS letter soon!
