I Passed , :D it was such a relief. I didn't know how did I do, I didn't even had time to review the marked questions. Based on my experience MEEB is a must try the online quiz you won't be regret.

How do I get to this online quiz?  Thanks!

Thanks Riba,

This is a great little link!  I just took LF today and moving into ME.  I plan to take ME in two weeks.

Congrats!

Two weeks is not enough to get ready for this exam, unless you have down your study before.Good luck.

I have been browsing the material for quite sometime.  So far, I am not seeing too much that I haven't touched on or dealt with on one level or more.  My previous employer, that I worked with for 7 years, was very specific and detailed about coordinating mechanical and how things work.  In my new firm, I coordinate my projects with consultants, redline their stuff, ask them questions all the time on how things work, so that I have a grasp on what is going on.  So, I have a basic understanding on different mechanical systems, I need to really brush up on the expected calculations and maybe some terminology.  Plumbing is also something I deal with on many levels, I even questioned the guy who came to pump my septic tank.  I am sure he thought I was crazy:D, he didn't know what I do for a living.

I remember reading MEEB in college, in one ear and out the other, seemed like reading latin.  Now that I have been browsing here and there, it actually makes sense and I seem to understand much more of it than way back when.

Also, as this is my last test.  I have been in the test taking mode for a few months, and have this study schedule in my routine.  Lord knows what I will do with my free time after testing!  Maybe spend some time with the kids and go on a date with my husband??!!

Solar energy is nothing new, dates back through the centuries.  Did tons of this in school (13 years ago).  The only subject I am really nervious about would be acoustics.  Deal with that all the time at work, but the logic behind calculations, not a clue!  We have consultants that deal with that, I just make it beautiful!

I figure if I take in what NCARB shows on their practice questions.  Follow the forum, do Archiflash and the Kaplan book and CD questions, browse through MEEB, I should be fine.  This is what I have done on all of them so far.

Then, last but not least, seek what NCARB is looking for.  Only do what they want with their logic.  The NCARB way is the only way to pass these silly tests.  I start Arctic Engineering at the University here on the 20th of August, so I was hoping to get these tests wrapped up before that.  Then if I have any retakes, that would fall in December or January or so, after my class.  So, looking down the road, I can get licensed in March at the very latest?  So, I have set my goal, I am hoping and praying.

Good luck to all of you, and lets stay banded together.  That is the only way to get through this speed bump on the road to the title Architect!  Sorry for all this babble, but maybe I have to reassure myself that the next 2 weeks is enough time for me.

Thanks and see you on the Forum!

it's pretty simple to know if you are ready, the ncarb guide quiz is the closest thing to the real test, and CD test bank maybe second to it. if you score 90% around, probably ready to go.
