What about water for dishwashers?

What is the criteria for them to decide providing portable water for here but not there?

grey water is water that comes from shower and vanity. You can't not use those for washing dishes or doing laundry. other words, you have to use potable water for laundry and washing dishes for sanitizing. Water comes from dishwashers and laundry washers may or may not be recyclable because it contains detergent.

The two places where non-potable (grey water) can be used is on plants/landscape and to flush toilets. However, always check with local codes to make sure that it is permitted and that the equipment used is designed to handle grey water.

Potable just means safe for drinking water.

So if kids drink water while they are playing, catching and watering plants that might cause problems...
