what's the difference between a welded wire mesh reinforcing and a galvanized metal lath..

for me they are the same. can someone please clarify the differnce

ballast notes that g.lath is used for wall

They are completely different.

WWM is concrete reinforcement and is not galvanized.

Lath is a plaster component. There's wire lath and expanded metal lath.

Wire lath is usually used on walls and metal lath on ceilings.

Though irrelevant to the test, concrete reinforcing can be galvanized for increased durability particularly in harsh environments.

It can also be epoxy coated for extreme conditions.
