Hello,
I took the exam on Monday. I saw many questions from the lists on this forum. I got the legendary manhole, gargoyle and catch basin questions. I got some CD question and I got couple of WFT questions too. I got questions I knew answers to and then I got some that I was not sure about. Today I returned to work and as I was going through the day I remember some specific questions from the test. I checked the answers and I got some wrong, some of these questions were not that hard as I find out now, so now I am freaking out!
I studied the kaplan guide and the Allan book and looked at arch. graphic standards, I did the flash cards too. Spent some time reading this website. It took me 6 weeks to prepare. I left the testing center feeling so so, but as I think more about it I feel less and less confident.
Does any one knows what are the chances of passing this? I studied very hard and now I feel like I am going to return in 6 month. How did you feel after your test.... did you pass or fail?
I need to study for the next exam but I can not get my head off some of these questions....

I take my test next Tuesday and I'm starting to get worried. I'm reading the Kaplan material, an old ALS computer mock exam and powerflash with a boatload of terms and definitions, and the notes from the FTP here on this site. It's a LOT to take in!
BTW, what do i need to learm about gargoyle's?

What is a gargoyle actually used for.
Flashcards will tell you that basically they are a fancy scupper.

| A gargoyle is basically a decorative scupper, often seen in gothic architecture. From wikipedia: "In architecture, a gargoyle is a carved stone grotesque with a spout designed to convey water from a roof and away from the side of a building."

congrats! good job!
do you think being LEED certified was a big help for you?
Were their a lot of LEED specific questions, i.e; credits, or was it more general sustainability and know what LEED is and does?

Deedling Thanks so much!
I would say being LEED certified was a help but not huge. PD and MM both asked sustainable questions. My test did not ask questions about specific LEED credits. I recommend knowing what LEED is generally about and know your materials. But keep in mind each test can be different. Oh yeah, know what embodied energy is for main material groups in comparison to each other and know what is bio-climatic design is. I would say that the test did not test me on LEED but rather on sustainability. Read kaplan guide, go through alan book, red roovers list is great, and most importantly read this forum. I hope this helps.
Good Luck.

ask not what the gargoyles can do for you, ask what you can do for the gargoyles!
