test tomorrow.
questions:
1) windows in the open to below space...yes or no??
2) do i need an entrance to west stair on first level if there is an exit from building???
3) is it a better idea to simply use the stair as an exit as with east stair and a add door into the stair and a door out?
4) my corridors are 13% of total program area. Does this include the lobby? (dumb question, just need to make sure that corridors and circulation are not interchangeable)
5) used a sketch line from lobby to trees on fourth....can my entry doors be where they are without the lobby being considered as blocked by the trees??
6) Toilet chase walls: I know they do not have to be stacked, but should there be attention to the location of back-to-back wet walls?? Although I centered second fl toilets over a wall in the janitors closet, I assume that had I nudged these over the lobby, that could be frowned upon??? Pls advise.
Thanks for any and all help. Fire away. 10hrs to go.

1) i think there's nothing wrong with windows in OB as long as the program space requires view but i won't put any if it doesn't
2) check the code and program requirement on this one. there might be a code that says you need to connect stairs to all levels. if there is then you need an entrance to west stair on first level
3) with some of the confusion that's going on, it might be better to use the stair as an exit. so far this is the safest way to go
4) you need to count the lobby as part of your circulation. might want to read the instruction again as to what are counted as circulation
5) sorry, i can't answer this one. my test is tomorrow too. i will try to avoid this condition if i get something like this tomorrow
6) as far as i can tell, toilet and wet walls don't need to stack. it might be nice if they do, but if you're under constrained, don't even bother
GOODLUCK!!

1) windows in the open to below space...yes or no?? No.
2) do i need an entrance to west stair on first level if there is an exit from building??? Yes. Stairs must connect to corridor at each level per the given code.
3) is it a better idea to simply use the stair as an exit as with east stair and a add door into the stair and a door out? I believe so, except for the lobby entry (just as you have shown). I usually try to terminate the other end of the corridor directly into the stair.
4) my corridors are 13% of total program area. Does this include the lobby? (dumb question, just need to make sure that corridors and circulation are not interchangeable). Corridors do not include the lobby, and I think you have 25% allowance. Looks efficient to me.
5) used a sketch line from lobby to trees on fourth....can my entry doors be where they are without the lobby being considered as blocked by the trees?? Program here doesn't say anything about visibility to the entry from the street (unlike the site planning section) so I think you are fine.
6) Toilet chase walls: I know they do not have to be stacked, but should there be attention to the location of back-to-back wet walls?? Although I centered second fl toilets over a wall in the janitors closet, I assume that had I nudged these over the lobby, that could be frowned upon??? Pls advise. Agree with Tama, don't worry about wet walls.
One other suggestion: I would add another door to your large meeting room, near the east edge of the room, making the connection to the SM closer. Other than the 2nd stair and the LM to SM proximity- looks good.
Good luck on your test.
