I took a stab at this, and after an hour I realized that I was getting nowhere. I took a few deep breaths, and started over. Too bad they won't let me do that in the exam room.
. . . anyway. 50 minutes later, I spawned this gem.

| The wall that separates SO from CR hits in the middle of a window. I'm not sure if you're allowed to do that or not. I know I've been trying not to hit a wall in the middle of a window. Also you have some of those file cabinets behind a door which is usually not good to do.

. . . Well, that sucks.

As they say, "back to the drawing board".
Thanks for catching the most ultimate, obvious f*ck up in the history of BP practice.

All I know is that people have passed with this condition. Besides, it's done all the time. You should avoid it but the key is to have functional windows where they are req'd.

| No need for 3' clearance between two secretary desks, could slide the right one up against the left one, just watch the copy room door clearance.

. . . you come in, take a right and you can spin around all you want.
I guess I don't understand what you are asking. I don't need a 5' turn around directly in front of the door. If that were the case it would apply to either side of every door, in every room and most of us would have issues with this.
Granted, I could have slid the sec. desks together, but I decided to give space for someone to be directly in front of the desk to the left. Did I need to? Probably not, but I do have the required turning radius within the reception space.
Obviously, this is definitely not the best solution to this problem (issues with the file room), but my goal here is to come up with something quick, within program, and code restraints, with minimal errrors.
Here's a version addresssing the window issue.

Icar- I think this is absolutley the most heinous of the programs -
This one made me sick at the thought of getting dealt this at the exam. You did as well as one possibly could in 50 minutes... J

i concur. i don't think this is a solvable problem. that being said, no one has commented on the overlap of door and cfa in the file room. there seems to be access to each chair in the lunchroom, since there's a 36" route around the perimeter and a turnaround in the southeast corner. looks like you did as best you can with the program.

I second that sentiment. The first time I tried this alt, I accidently misread the program and tried to put FOUR tables for four in the lunchroom. After an hour and a half, I had to stop because I had squeezed my mouse so hard in anger and frustration that it broke I had to go get a new one. The second time I tried it, I used the 20 lat file option instead of the 20 vert files, I could get as many as seventeen in there working but finally had to stop to bandage the gash on my forehead from banging it repeatedly against my desk.
The actual exam will not have nearly this many pieces of furniture, and not in such a tight space. If you can come up with something even remotely resembling a pass in less than an hour on this alt, you will breeze through the actual exam.
