I once got confused about a previous thread on suggested readings for MEEB. I realized that the suggestions were based off of the 8th edition. I had the 9th. So I made this comparison for the MEEB 8th, 9th, 10th editions and corresponding suggested readings. Hope no one makes the same mistake as I did.

    This is great. thanks.

In your SUGGESTIONS column, you have 'read selected sections'. Which ones are you referring to?

This is great stuff, especially for those in study groups using different editions....

you may want to post this on the FTP site for people to download. I am sending it to my buddy who is in NY and studying with a group, all of whom have different versions of the MEEB...

    thanks again

This is for MEEB 8th Edition: (I don't know the equivalent sections in 9th + 10th Edition---I ended up reading all 1,000++ pages of my MEEB anyway, but this is just me.)

    Chapter 14: Sections 14.1 - 14.11, 14.21

    Chapter 15: Section 15.3 - 15.7

    Chapter 16: Section 16.6 - 16.10

    Chapter 17: Section 17.3

    Chapter 19: Section 19.4, 19.8, 19.16 - 19.21, 19.27 - 19.30, 19.36

    Chapter 20: Section 20.10 - 20.15, 20.33 - 20.40

Thanks for the comparison- very helpful! I'm using the MEEb 9th edition and going through the Wiley practice quizzes. In Chapter 13 questions 3 & 4

The recommended horizontal to vertical illuminance ratio for general diffuse lighting is: the answer is 2.5:1 (MEEB 9 says 1.5:1 p. 1207)

In commercial buildings lighting is estimated to account for ____ percent of the building's electric energy consumption. the answer is over 60% (MEEB 9 p. 1209 it says 20-30%)

I'm assuming these answers have been updated in MEEB 10 but I just wanted to verify with someone that has 10 that these answers are correct.

    Thanks!

This should definitely either be bumped or put on FTP...
