essdee, sorry I'm still not getting it. a 3' circle is shown on slb81's plan fitting between the back of the conference chair and the arm chair. Is this not sufficient?

You cannot get to them without closing the door. That is not acceptable.

Door open at 90 degrees results in <36"... cuts off from the north

chair clearance is okay at the south, but there is not 36" clear for passage from the south.

Re-read the program:

"2.

The minimum clear distance between walls or between a
wall and any other obstruction along an aisle, corridor, or

passageway shall be 36 inches."


It would be safer to place your doors so that they swing open against walls... this is not REQUIRED in the program, but a good rule of thumb, even in general practice.
