Upload to ARE Forum's FTP

Welcome to ARE Forum's FTP Access

There are two ways of accessing the FTP site.
1- One is to view the files already saved in the FTP site.
2- The other is to upload files to the FTP site.

1 - Viewing Files in FTP site

To view files already uploaded click here: http://www.areforum.org/guest/
Click on the file you want to view and do a save as if you think the material is useful for your studies.

2 - Uploading Files to FTP site

Important

You can upload any files related to the ARE except Copyrighted material.

You can upload your own research or any drawings you've found helpful. If you see any Copyrighted material feel free to remove it by simply highlighting the material and pressing the delete button.

Things you should NOT upload include:

1.Exam questions

2. Software

3. Files that include the label "Copyright" in them

4. Any other Copyrighted material not mentioned above

Please remember to close the window after you are finished with your session.

You must login to view and upload files:
User Name: guest@areforum.org
Password: guest

After clicking the Upload Now button below, you will see the ftp screen. Follow the next steps to login:

Step1 (in some browsers this step is omitted, then go directly to Step 2)

Go to file menu in your browser and choose Login As...

Step 2

Type in your User Name: guest@areforum.org and Password: guest

Step 3

Drag and drop files from your computer to the FTP site or vice versa.

Note the username is guest@areforum.org
and password is guest

** You must download the material to your computer in order to open and view the files.**

Known Problems

-Go to your Internet explorer
-click on Tools
-click on Internet Options
-click on the "Advanced" Tab
-Under Browsing, the "enable folder view for FTP sites" must to be checked

If you have a firewall you must change its settings so it lets you see FTP sites

If you can't access the ftp site through internet explorer try FileZilla or other ftp program. Click here for additional instructions.
